This is Symantecs major change in the way we fight hackers virus and identity theft.
All major companies in this field use virus definition files to protect your computer. This relies on finding the the virus and then analysing it and creating a definitions.
360 starts with the idea that you look at how a virus or a hack is constructed and then use that to detect and block profiles of misuse such as keylogers that record the keystrokes you use and determine such things as passwords.
The site is rich in information including forums and pod casts about the produce.
It is still in beta and you can download a free version to use.
