Hello and Welcome,
There are three meetings of the Sydney PC Users Group next week.
Tuesday 19 June - Seniors -  G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Graham Grant has a range of programs and a utility called "Windows on Top" to demonstrate and discuss at this meeting.
There will also be a question and answer session to resolve any computer problems members have experienced recently.
Tuesday 19 June - Genealogy -  T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
At this meeting Terry Eakin will discuss how to use the Internet to research family history. He will also show some sites which have just come online and are regarded as real gems.
Terry will have a paper to distribute and a question and answer session will provide members with the opportunity to explore family history issues.
Friday 22 June - Digital Photography -  9:30am - 12:30pm

John Lucke will start this meeting with a question and answer session and engage the group in a constructive appraisal of photographs taken by members. Particular attention will be given to the composition, colour, lighting, focus, depth of field and sharpness of the photographs being appraised.

In the second half of the meeting the group will continue to explore some of the tools in the latest version of GIMP.

For the photographers
ABC TV has started a new "Photo Finish" series in which three amateur photographers are tested with a photographic challenge. The programme is shown at 8PM on Thursdays. You can view the first episode here.
