Report for August 2011

We talked about editing HTML outside NOF. This works, but NOF knows nothing of it, so at the next publish these changes will be wiped out. Importing HTML into NOF is possible, but formatting and styles don’t seem to come in with the HTML.

We changed to Filezilla from CoreFTP as Core still kept hanging on upload. Filezilla works well.

We entered another Newsletter and the White Paper page.

Tony had a problem with his website when he rewrote it outside NOF. We suspect that it may be that he ... We’ll see next month when he brings the files in.

Next meeting is in September. Saturday 17th when Robert will be back in the hot seat.

Explanation of the June & July 2011 Meetings

We spent the June meeting recovering from a Windows XP failure. We now have a clean system to work with, and our data BACKED UP !!!

We looked at Coffee Cup HTML Editor which edits CSS and HTML, does validation and FTP upload. Previews in all known browsers. We had a look at the latest Chrome, Firefox, IE8, Opera and Maxthon browsers.

Maxthon. Opera and Chrome don’t clutter the screen with menus but they can pop up when needed. All can use the whole screen with the F11 toggle.

Next meeting will be August 20th. Robert will still be in South America, so we have free reign again.

Report for meeting February 2011

We decided to insert the Newsletters that Brent wrote. After much discussion we decided that a plan was needed. The site was then made up to suit a year and month system and we will add anchor points and menus to be able to navigate to the relevant topics of interest.

Next meeting is Saturday 19th March when we will continue to upgrade the Newletters section.

See you there

Regards
Robert
