Know web page function before designing web page

Web page function is a major factor in determining what the final design of the web site will look like.

Will it be a

• Product sales, information site,
• Have landing pages that other site will link to,
• E-commerce site that customers will use to place orders
• Mini-site,
• Information gathering site?

The design of each of these sites will vary greatly. The audience that some of these sites will focus on will also have some impact of site content. So before you start designing a site make sure the function is clearly defined.
