Next week's meetings are below:
Tuesday 19 February - Seniors - G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
At this meeting Graham Grant will have a look at the "Raspberry Pi ", which is a credit card sized computer.
Graham will also demonstrate a utility called WinDirStat that looks at files on hard drives.
There will be question and answer session held at the beginning of the meeting.
Tuesday 19 February - Genealogy - T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Terry Eakin will explain the new developments that have occurred in the availability of Irish birth, marriage and death indexes and the indexing of spouses in the marriage indexes. He will demonstrate how those present can find their family members and avoid some of the machine generated errors that occur when searching these records.
Terry will also look at how to use wills in family history research and explore wills in NSW and other Australian States if time permits.
Friday 22 February - Digital Photography - 9:30am - 12:30pm
At this meeting the group will look at a short on-line course on taking digital photographs in an area of interest selected on the day with one possible topic being "the fundamentals of light as it affects digital camera operation".
In addition the group will:
1. Discuss how to take a self-portrait;
2. Install and discuss the changes made in the latest version of GIMP (v4.8.4);
3. Review last month's portrait photos; and
4. Conduct a question and answer session.
